It’s a soft matte finish on my dry skin but it’s almost like there’s a filter on my face after I apply this. And the cherry on top, and most certainly why I think this is worth the $$ for me, is it lasts and lasts and lasts. It actually looks BETTER as the day goes on. I could definitely do without the fragrance though as I do find it really strong and quite bothersome as it lingers in my beauty blender for days.
I have normal to dry skin and I like foundation to look like skin. I don’t want anyone asking me what kind of foundation I use. This is the ticket. It melds like a second skin and wears all day with no issues. It does not suck moisture from my face and it never causes my skin to feel uncomfortable or tight. I don’t like full coverages from the start and prefer to build as needed. This is perfect and builds beautifully over a blemish. I especially like the way it looks on my open pores.
It envelopes my imperfections very beautifully. My sensitive skin does not get any problems and it looks much more elevated after I am done applying and blending it to my face and neck. It is long-wearing, does stay beautifully velvet for eight hours.
I do use this when I go out or have meetings. It provides medium coverage which i love. It leaves your skin so dewy and hydrated and I love knowing that when I have it on it also has ingredients in it that help improve your skin.
It doesn’t accentuate any of the texture on my skin or settlement of fine lines that I have or the wrinkles that I have between my eyebrows. It also seems like it works well with any powder because I’m one of those people who uses a different powder I think every day depending on what mood I’m in I have so many I try to rotate.
Quick note about shade since I think most people have to buy this online, I am typically NC 25-30 (depending on season) and I purchased this sight unseen from selfridges in the shade 230 Light Ochre described as Light Skin with Warm Undertone. Let me tell you, this is at best a medium skin tone shade (borderline tan). I think I can make it work in the dead of summer but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still a little too deep.
